Smoothie can come as deliciously as healthy with this Beet-Banana Smoothie easy-to-prepare recipe.

Smoothies are good for our digestive and circulatory system for its high fibrous fruit and vegetable ingredients. You can even have this if you are on a diet without skipping your meals. This can go with your meal or snack and enjoy its lusciousness.

Ingredients

  • Beetroots: One of the superfoods for it contains lots of nutrients.
  • Banana: Rich in potassium and gives a distinctive flavor in this smoothie.
  • Blueberries: Good for the heart and rich in taste.
  • Chia Seeds: Rich in anti-oxidants perfect for this healthy smoothie.
  • Greek Yogurt: Rich in calcium and protein for our muscles and bones.
  • Skimmed Milk: Helps boost the immune system.

Preparation

  1. Prepare : Boil the beets for about 20-25 minutes. Let them cool down before peeling. After peeling, dice them then chill.
  2. Blend: Blend all the ingredients together in a blender or food processor until well-blended.
  3. Serve.

Tips and Variations

  • Banana and Berries: Aside from blending them all, you can add slices on top of your smoothie to enjoy the texture or pulp of the fruits in every sip.

Beet-Banana Smoothie

Serves: 2

Ingredients

  • 1 beetroots
  • 1 ripe banana, chunks
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 2 tsp chia seeds
  • 65 g Greek yogurt, plain
  • 250 mL skimmed milk

Instructions
