An easy-to-prepare healthy and delicious vegan meal that can go as your main or side dish. Mushrooms infused with flavors from simple spices makes this Sautéed Mushrooms with Shallot

Whether you are a vegan or a vegetarian or simply someone who loves food, you can enjoy this Sautéed Mushrooms with Shallot full of natural flavors that only takes a few minutes to be prepared. Have this on your plates while warm and enjoy this deliciously healthy dish.

Ingredients

  • Mushrooms: Least expensive and offers a mild taste.
  • Shallot: Makes the flavor a little intense.
  • Olive Oil: Gives out aromatic flavor and is healthy.
  • Salt and pepper: Adds to the taste.

Preparation

  1. Chop: Cut the clean mushrooms into quarter.
  2. Sauté: a saucepan, heat the oil over medium heat. Sauté the mushrooms until brown. Add 2 tbsp water. Simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Simmer: Lower the heat then add in shallot and season with salt and pepper. Let cook for another 3 minutes. Remove from heat.
  4. Serve.

Tips and Variations

You can garnish this with rosemary leaves or some sauteed broccoli for more flavor and nutrients.

Storage

  • In the fridge: This Sautéed Mushrooms with Shallot can stay for 3-4 days refrigerated. Just make sure to place in a shallow container covered.
  • Freeze: Mushrooms should be cooked before freezing and freezing this Sautéed Mushrooms with Shallot can make its life longer for another week or two. Just place in a zip-lock bag then lay the freezer.

Serves: 4 servings

  • 25-30 pcs button mushrooms
  • 2 shallots
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
